A 90’s classic.  This video blew my mind when I first watched it.

People are making a little too much fuss over Rihanna’s new music video, “Man Down?”

No one was up in arms over the words in the song, so why all the ruckus now, over the video’s intro?

This video makes me feel like I’m behind the scene, watching a serial killer plan a snuff film.  Can a video be dirty, gritty, and beautiful all at once? Hell Yeah!

Cee-Lo’s latest string of music videos has been nothing short of genius.  Watch his newest video, No One’s Gonna Love You, right here, before it premieres at South By Southwest, later this week.

After a five-year-long hiatus, The Strokes are back.  But, after watching this video, it seems that they re-emerged with less of a bang and more of a whimper.  The shots are, for the most part, repetitive, there’s no action to speak of, and even less of a story to be found.  

To be fair, there are some excellent aspects to it, as well: particularly milieu, costumes, and the fact that lead singer, Julian Casablancas, is singing away from, and seemingly detached from his band, all give it an eerie, yet cool feeling.

But, he is the son of the man who founded Elite Model Management.  Would it have killed him to include any of Elite’s talent?

Let’s go back to the seventies, where gratuitous bush shots and slasher flicks reigned supreme!  That’s where the video for Yuck’s newest release, Holing Out, takes you.  If there was ever a video made to drive Beavis and Butthead crazy, this is the one!

New video by Vivian Girls, “I Heard You Say,” reminds me of Zach Branff in Garden State, but with a motel-dwelling, pyromaniacal edge!

Synergy is dead.  The sum of this video is weaker than its individual parts.  The 80’s was a golden age of creativity in terms of music and cinema.  Atomic Tom’s newest video, “Don’t You Want Me,” a remake of the same track by Human League, falls short of capturing that glory.  It’s attempt to fuse every awesome 80’s movie with a walk-off from Zoolander backfires, making it look more contrived than homage.  

On the flip side, Topher Grace does an awesome Marty McFly impersonation, and the Weird Science tribute knocks it out of the park.
